From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline including angels, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.
Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of heroes who will split off from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
This warrior group includes Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might appear unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a intense initial meeting with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose death initiated the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, striking the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
The antagonist then settled his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- Kattigan knows Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could help the party access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The healer defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the traitor.
Future Episodes
Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Questers and Schemers tables.
Audiences can anticipate learning which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on next week.
